Practice is structured, not prescribed

Orbit gives each person a flexible model for defining what investment looks like in a life area. A goal is a durable context. Habits express recurring or measurable practices inside it. Entries record the evidence.

Goals and targets

Goals carry a name, icon, color, description, and period-specific targets. They can be created, edited, archived, and viewed with their activity. Targets are configurable for weekly, monthly, or yearly periods.

Shipped Goal is the platform term. The UI may use “category” or “life category” when that is clearer for a person.

Habits

Habits belong to a goal and support several tracking modes. A habit can be created, edited, renamed, reassigned, merged, or archived without discarding historical entries. Schedules and point values let habits contribute appropriately to a balance period.

Entries

An entry records a check-off or measured progress for a habit and date. The product supports:

  • Quick completion check-offs.
  • Measured values and notes.
  • Backdating and deletion by date.
  • Manual, assistant, and external sources.
  • History inspection by habit.
